Laying up the fairings:
A big part of making a very light car is to reduce fairing weight. To do this we use a composite material made of carbon fiber and Flex Core / Nomex. This is an arduous process and takes a lot of work and a lot of hands.
Below is a little video showcasing different parts from a year where we took on different challenges to ensure our car was ready for competition. From the original layup, to cutting areas for windows and attaching parts together!
