This was the first hackathon I ever tackled, in my freshman year at UCLA, and we actually won first place! The task was to make something to do with travelling, so we decided to make a smart bike-lock. Below is a little post I wrote on linkedIn about it! [Linked Here]
With all this extra time, I put together videos of our creations for the IDEA Hacks at UCLA Hardware Hackathon 2019 and 2020.
I didn’t expect to go into my first #hackathon as a freshman to come out thrilled to have slept for 3 hours. I loved all the #teamwork, #learning, and #innovation.
Hungry for learning and solving problems, our team worked skillfully to bring tangible, creative, and #innovative solutions in under 36 hours of intensive SolidWorks, 3D printing, and Arduino debugging. In 2019, our RFID Smart-Lock won #first place.
A huge thank you to my teammates Allison Chen, Ashvin Nagarajan, Matthew Wang, Jeffrey Anderson!
Stay tuned for a post on the 2020 Hackathon, and enjoy the video of our "Pop 'n Lock" Hack!
